So I wrote something else over on Medium.
This post for the Yik Yak Engineering site is about how we deployed applications to Kubernetes and the philosophy behind it. Many of the things that we did were very opinionated in how things were structured within the cluster in order to make monitoring, login and other things easier and standard within all environments. This then made it easier on the developers to write code knowing how they would see the output of their running services.
